If you've been watching TV then we're sure you've gotten a glimpse of the newest cars out in the market and their inviting commercials. Most of the features stated in those ads are just a glimpse of what you're going to get. If you want more idea as to the modern features of today's cars, take a look at Philcarnews.com's list. See for yourself if you can afford to drive vehicles that carry this much science as much as its style.

1. Quick Access Trunks

Have you ever had an experience when you're hands are full but you need access to your trunk ASAP? This usually happens after grocery shopping or after a trip and you're just about to pack home. Your hands are full of stuff that needs to be put in the trunk immediately and no one around can even help you. A total bummer isn't it? However, that wouldn't be much of a problem if your car has the quick access trunk feature. It comes in different programs but it all opens the trunk without you having to touch it. To enable this, some cars may need you to put your foot under a particular spot where the sensor is, while in other systems you may need to have your fob key present and close to the trunk.

2. A Sunroof with Adjustable Settings

Sunroofs before were just used by people who could afford expensive cars as a classy exhaust to cigarette smoke, now they're more than that. Sunroofs are mostly loved by children who like to stick their head out to greet the breeze but we all know there's a classier way to enjoy this. If you want a view of the night sky then it's now easier to do that by adjusting the light capabilities of your sunroof. Also, if you want to block out the sunlight and UV rays from shining all over your head, then you can also darken the sunroof entirely.

3. Radars and night-vision capabilities

If you've seen any spy movie ever, then you must've noticed how the featured cars are so high tech and so lavishly fictional. However, with these new real-life upgrades, it looks like it won't take long before those fictional features are brought to life. This is because two of the most exhibited spy car upgrades are now in actual cars manufactured by Audi and BMW. They aren't for spy purposes at all, but one thing for sure is that it can sure help you if you're ever driving in the dark and unfamiliar part of town. It can help you anticipate stray dogs hidden in the dark as they may cross the street and cause you an accident.

4. Brake sensors that brake for you

If there's one thing that car manufacturers don't want to be prudent about, it's definitely safety features. Most people who are interested in buying a car with life-saving features are those that already have families or those that are as picky when it comes to safety as they are with aesthetics. Modern smart cars are now built to satisfy cravings for both, especially in preventing the most common type of road accident - collision.

Cars installed with brake sensors often have a sensor that determines the closest obstacle. When your car gets to a specific distance to that and is not stopping, your car will let you know with a collision warning. If you neglect this and the car continues to come closer to the obstacle, it will automatically apply brakes on its own.

5. High beams that automatically adjust

If you frequently drive in the dark hours of the night, then you're most likely to use your high beams often. It's a good habit to keep them on to see what's further up the road so you can avoid running over or colliding with anything. However, if you've been too absorbed while driving with the high beam on then you might have experienced being honked at repeatedly, or even shouted at and called names.

Truth is, no matter how dashing your ride is no one really cares if you're blinding them with your high beam. This is where the high beam sensors come in to help you out. With this, you can turn on the high-beam when there's no vehicle coming from the other lane and the sensors will turn it off once it detects an oncoming vehicle.

6. Self-driving cars

This is the ultimate car upgrade that will metamorphically blow the minds of both car lovers and those uninterested. There is more to be added to the actual units that will bear this capability; but the feature has already piqued the interests of car enthusiasts, especially those that can afford it. The high-tech upgrade will utilize the aid of three different techy features in order to make the auto-pilot mode possible. These three features are the camera, the radar and the sonar that covers 360 degrees all around the vehicle.

7. Automatically stopping and starting the engine

One of the bad things that the booming economy can bring to humankind is the increasing number of people who can buy cars. To make matters worse, a lot of the people who can now buy cars actually do buy cars thus, contributing to the traffic that almost seems endless. Being stuck in traffic takes a toll on anyone's patience but it takes more than that on your fuel usage.

This is why manufacturers came up with the systematic feature that automatically turns the engine off and on when in traffic. Once the car senses that your foot is on the pedal for some time, it will turn off the engine. When you take your foot off, the system automatically turns the engine on again.

8. Massage Chairs in the Comfort of Your Own Car

Nothing is better than a good back massage right after getting off of the usual nine to five shift. What if we tell you that you can get that message immediately after you leave your workplace, and all you need to do is hop into your car? Thanks to car manufacturers like Kia and Ford, this is now possible. These massage-capable seats are also built to give a warm, heating option if the cold rain outside makes it hard for you to drive.
