This launch of the Terra is predicted to challenge the sales figures of other models in the same segment such as the Ford Everest, Chevy Trailblazer, Isuzu MU-X, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport. All these arch-rivals are adorned with glossy and muscular design in addition to a high-tech package.

To begin with, the Nissan Terra 2018 puts on a tough but sophisticated look which features an elegant yet muscular body with the V-Motion grille, and boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lamps at the front. Based on the Navara, the Terra receives a ladder-frame chassis and the same coil spring multi-link rear suspension, ready to conquer any terrain.

Its interior elicits feelings of the Navara with the design almost untouched from the standard Navara. It keeps the V-shaped wheel and the sloping instrument panel from the Navara. Aside from it, the high-end versions are equipped with auto-climate control with various vents at the rear.

The 3-seat-row SUV offers an ample room for 7 occupants. Second seat row gets an auto-tumble function to for easier ingress and egress. All you need to do is just press a button on the instrument panel.

Not taking the same 2.5L QR25 gas mill found in the Chinese-spec counterpart, the Terra for the ASEAN market welcomes a 2.5L YD25DDTi turbo-diesel powerplant rooted from the Nissan Navara. With this engine, it takes charge of 187 HP and 450 Nm and is channeled to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic gearbox.
