It’s been pretty delayed when it comes to the launching of new Mitsubishi line up in India, and when Mitsubishi India’s Uttam Bose announced that the Mitsubishi Eclipse will be launched in the country by 2020, it’s like a flower suddenly popping in the middle of a desert.

Still under development, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2018, still according to Uttam Bose, is said to now have a BS-VI-compliant engines and just needed to incorporate three other things that include: OBD-II, a seatbelt reminder system and a speed alert system – that will enable the strong automotive brand to comply with the stricter emission and safety regulations. This is why the launch of this much awaited Mitsubishi release will still take place in 2020.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is already available in some countries, such as Australia and just to give you an idea of how much the price range costs from $30,000 to around $38,500. Both ES and LS 2WD have a 1.5L engine with a maximum torque of 110kW @ 5,500RPM and uses Unleaded fuel in its multi-point injection and direct injection fuel system.
It also wears a ventilated disc front brakes and rear disc brakes; Mcpherson strut, coil spring and stabilizer bar for front suspensions and multi-link with stabilizer bar for the rear suspension. They’re both 2WD with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and 8-step sports mode. They also sport an 18 x 7.0J, 225/55R18 alloy wheels.

Essentially, these two and the first two (ES and LS) share the same engine specifications, chassis composition and fuel to be used. The only one that differs in transmission is the Exceed AWD as it has an All Wheel Drive, as compared to the three that sports a 2WD.
The Exceeds also share the same comfort and convenience features with ES and LS, except that the Exceeds have 2 accessory power sockets.
Parking aid for the Exceeds is also much more than the first two. The parking aids include Multi Around Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front parking sensors, Reverse parking sensors and Reverse camera.
