Maserati already released some photos of their upcoming super sports car prototype in Milan, Italy. Before it’s debut in May, the company shared more tidbits of their upcoming MC20 sportscar.

The earlier photos released by the Italian brand were of a mule that resembles a modified Alfa Romeo 4C, which clearly tells us that the new sports car will feature a mid-engine layout. Now, the latest photos already show the model's prototype with its actual bodywork.

Fortunately, the MC20 will not have the same appearance as the chopped-up 4G we saw before. The sports car’s look now is far more graceful compared to that sports car with a low nose, smooth contouring, and broad rear haunches.

Fortunately, the MC20 will not have the same appearance as the chopped-up 4G we saw before.

But we can still expect that this new sports car from Maserati will still have the same components with Alfa underneath like the carbon-fiber tub chassis. For the engine, we can assume that it will be a turbocharged V-6 that can produce 600 horsepower.  It is also said that electric and hybrid versions of the MC20 will follow.

According to some sources, the MC20 will be developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab and will be produced at the historical plant of Maserati, the Viale Ciro Menotti plant.

We still don’t have other significant information about this new sports car from Maserati, but rest assured that this will be one monster of a car.
