2018 Mazda6 Wagon To Blend Beauty With Practicality In Geneva
In wagon guise, the car of Japan is as pretty as a picture, to be frank. Mazda’s signature KODO – Soul of Motion, obviously, needs no introduction. Enclosing this wagon and the sedan version for comparison, without angle wasted from bumper to bumper, the wagon is somewhat more handsome than the saloon.
Now, just take a close look at the Mazda 6 exterior to feel its beauty.

True to form, the 2018 Mazda 6 interior is what of a typical Mazda. In the event this 6 is not your first model from Mazda, you’ll feel familiar with every bit. Meanwhile, if this car is entirely new to you, just park yourself inside longer to discover this “room.”

Leather seats here are snug and supportive. Other than that, every ride will become more comfortable with the paddle knee bolster which can also help you brace yourself when turning corners. By the way, we can strengthen that the 6 cabin is all for driver’s comfort. Once you are fixed in the driver’s seat, the controls will immediately fall into your clutches and every access to all functions is very natural. Besides, if the tiller in the previous 6 is quite small, the unit in the current model has been well resized and is perfect for your hands.

Referring to infotainment system, the Mazda Connect system has gone with three generations of Mazda 6 without alterations. And this seems a trouble since many users have never been able to successfully turn it off. In fact, there is no way to switch off the audio system manually even when the A/C is already off, barring muting the music then turn off the ignition. Thankfully, the A/C system is cool and Bose speakers make pleasing sound.

As for storing stuff, the boot of the Mazda 6 is fairly spacious with a volume of 506 liters. Better still, with the grand hatch opening and seats folded, it’ll open up a cavernous 1648L cargo area.

Similar to the sedan, the Mazda 6 station wagon is motivated by a 2.5L Skyactiv-G direct injection engine producing 187 PS at 5,700 rpm and 250 Nm at 3,250 rpm. It’s certain some of you may wonder whether the body configuration exerts influence on the car performance, yet the wagon’s ride and handling are not outdone by the sedan.

Normal and Sport are two driving modes available in the 2018 Mazda 6. While the normal mode is tranquil, the Sport one promises to give you more exciting driving experience.
In terms of fuel consumption, it sips fuel at around 7.0 km/l.
Nonetheless, when you top out the power band of 2,000 rpm, the engine will emit a V6-like howl. To tell the truth, there are only four cylinders in front, but you may puzzle if there are two cylinders more. Apart from that, we cannot be sure if the set of 19-inch tires will help the car survive obstacles on the roads.

With regards to Mazda 6 cost, its price tag is quite exorbitant. If last year, it was pegged at P1,845,000, this year’s price is P235,000 higher. The reason might be that the car manufacturer of Japan wants to set the bar higher for it in station wagon segment.

Ultimately, the Mazda 6 2018 Philippines is actually an impressive and strong mid-sized offering from the Japanese car manufacturer, with a nice look and feel, not to mention a brand image to pull it off. For 2018, it’s still value-for-money.

So, if you are hunting for a superb wagon with such a touch of class, put this Mazda 6 on your wishlist. It would certainly a better replacement for the 3 hatch.
